Terms of Use
Basic terms for using Chartwave and the content it generates.
These terms are meant to explain what the service does, what users can reasonably expect, and where responsibility shifts to third-party providers or the person using the exported images.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Chartwave, you agree to use the site in a lawful and reasonable way. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the site.
What Chartwave provides
Chartwave is a music visualization tool that generates charts and album quilts from publicly available Last.fm data. Features may change over time, and the site may be updated, limited, or removed without notice.
Public data and third-party sources
Chartwave relies on third-party services, especially Last.fm, for listening data and some imagery. Chartwave cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of data returned by those external services.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Chartwave in a way that abuses the service, interferes with site performance, attempts to bypass technical limitations, scrapes the site in a harmful way, or uses the product for unlawful or misleading activity.
User responsibility
You are responsible for how you use exported images, charts, and album quilts. If you share generated visuals publicly, you are responsible for making sure that use is appropriate for your platform, audience, and any applicable rights or attribution requirements.
Intellectual property and third-party content
Chartwave’s layout, branding, and original site content belong to Chartwave or its operator. Listening data, artist images, album covers, and related media may belong to third parties. Their appearance through Last.fm or other sources does not transfer ownership.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
Chartwave is provided on an as-is basis. The site may become unavailable, produce incomplete results, or fail to generate exports when upstream services, images, browsers, or hosting conditions change.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chartwave is provided without warranties of any kind. The site operator is not responsible for losses, damages, or disruptions arising from your use of the site, your reliance on generated outputs, or failures caused by third-party services.
Changes to the terms
These terms may be updated over time. Continued use of Chartwave after updates are published means you accept the revised terms.
